Will the Leading Edge Conference be in-person this year?

The 2021 Leading Edge in Diagnostic Ultrasound Conference will be held virtually via Zoom on May 11-13, 2021.

How will the conference be broadcast?

The 2021 Virtual Leading Edge in Diagnostic Ultrasound Conference will be broadcast via Zoom.

How to join the Zoom meeting: What are the requirements?

You do not need a Zoom login to join the meeting. All you need is that meeting URL or ID. This information will be sent to all registrants via email.

You can join a Zoom meeting on desktop by downloading the app:

  1. Download the Zoom desktop appon your Mac or PC.
  2. Open the Zoom app.
  3. Click join a meeting.
  4. Enter the meeting ID and your name, andset audio/video permissions.

Or through a web browser:

  1. Click on the meeting invite URL located in the email.
  2. Open the Zoom app.
  3. Approve the request for permission to use your computer's audio and camera.

Or by clicking on the meeting invite link:

  1. Click on the meeting invite URL that the host shared via email or text.
  2. A new tab will open on your preferred web browser. If you don't have the Zoom desktop app installed, the page will urge you to download the app.
  3. Ignore that and skip down to the small print: "If you cannot download or run the application, join from your browser."
  4. Click the highlighted text in "join from your browser".
  5. Sign in with your name to join the meeting.

Or by joining the meeting on mobile (iPhone, Android):

Download the Zoom app for iOS or for Android on Google Play, and set it up using your contact information — which the host can use to "call" you. Then, either:

  • Your app will ring when the host "calls" you (Accept the call)

    or

  • Open the mobile app.
  • Tap on "Join a Meeting."
  • Enter the meeting ID and your name and set audio/video permissions.

    or

  • Tap on the meeting invite URL that the host shared via email or text, which will open the Zoom app.The app may ask for permission to use your phone's camera.

Will there be concurrent sessions during the virtual meeting?

Yes, each day there will be three tracks running concurrently. Attendees may register for only one track per day, but do not have to attend the same track all days. For example, an attendee can register for the Women’s Imaging Symposium on Wednesday and Abdominal Ultrasound on Thursday.

Will the sessions be available for viewing after the virtual meeting?

We will not be offering the 2021 Virtual Leading Edge Conference as an “on-demand” option.

Will the virtual meeting include an Exhibit Hall?

The 2021 Virtual Leading Edge in Diagnostic Ultrasound Conference will not include a Virtual Exhibit Hall.

Will there be sponsorship opportunities at the virtual meeting?

Yes, the 2021 Virtual Leading Edge Conference has been approved for up to 22.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. An application has been submitted to the SDMS for up the 22.25 SDMS Credits.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Payment for registration must be made in U.S. funds. If you must cancel your registration, please notify us immediately in writing to JUREI@Jefferson.edu. Your registration payment, less an administrative fee of $100, is refundable if written notification is received prior to April 2, 2021. After that time, refunds are not possible, but your payment - less the administrative fee - may be credited to a future course for use within one calendar year if a request is made in writing to JUREI@Jefferson.edu.

Will the lectures be live or pre-recorded?

The lectures will be pre-recorded. Each speaker will be available live at the end of each lecture to answer questions from the audience.
